Joppan was hard to choose from the tight
fight between the big M’s and for several reasons Thoppil Joppan becomes the
first one among those. For me expectations were nearly zero for Thoppil Joppan
for some basis and due to that zero anticipation Thoppil Joppan made me a
decent watch in theatres and felt much better movie than the earlier flicks
from Mammootty – Johny Antony combo. Avoiding almost all those made feel
vulnerable acts from the lead and presenting Joppan in a reasonable manner
Jonhy Antony nailed his directorial style and that made the resultas a pleasing
experience.Joppan known as Thoppil Joppan is a one who had trouble with love
failure and this made him to depend alcohol for his survival from the affair.
At the same time he is not a chronic alcoholic or a nuisance, he is lovable and
careful and also interested in Kabadi. Something fresh happened inhis life by a
coincident meeting of a one and what happens was the rest of the story.
On
screen , Mammootty is exploding in his performance and without any doubt we can
say that he is shouldering the film. “Age is not a material for Acting” this
words are becoming true in his performance, the enormous screen presence of
Mammootty is the Highlight of ThoppilJoppan. Mammootty is expert in portraying
so called “Achayan” roles again he excels as Joppan Achayan and particularly
there are no shades fromhis earlier roles.Andrea Jerahmia and Mamta Mohandas
was in thefemale lead roles and both of them are executed their roles nearer to
perfection. Those actress are not in this film to just stand as a shadow of the
Actor, both has a better portion to do and they done it without much flaws.
Thoppil Joppan made way for a comeback of Salim Kumar and Harisree Ashokan, I
can’t say their performances are betterly high but both were good in their
humors.Rest of them the film affords an enormous star cast including Renji
Panicker, Kaviyoor Ponnamma,Saju Navodaya, Sreejith Ravi , Alencier Lay and
Sohan Seenulal all of them was sincere to their jobs and handled their roles
well.
Even
though there are a lot of supporting actors for handling humor section
Mammootty is the one who handle almost all humors and he done it without any
vulgar feeling as I said earlier.Making wise , Johny Antony done this film in a
decent way by keeping almost away from his usualexaggerations and crass. Even
though he had donealmost fine with Thoppil Joppan as a director,he wants to
improve more and keep much updated. Scripting by Nishad Koya had come
beautifully andone of the main element in Thoppil Joppan was hissimple and easy
scripting.Technically, the visuals from Sunoj Velayudham was impressive and
that added a beauty to film. Perfect cuts from experienced, Ranjan Abraham.
Songs by Vidhyasagar was not up to the mark and BGM were good and blended to
the situations. No more from this section, the film got almost enoughfrom this
section except from songs by veteran Vidhyasagar.Overall, Thoppil Joppan from
Johny Antony is a pleasant experience and you can surely book ticket for seeing
Thoppil Joppan and I promise you Thoppil Joppan nevel feel you bore or feel
worse throughout the run time. Thoppil Joppan has all ingredients in it to get
you evolved, watch it with family.

time watchable for mamootty fans
